Everything - This is a budget motel with no frills. The owner, Ken went out of his way to make our stay comfortable from day one till the last day. I would strongly recomned this hotel to my fellow travellers for its cleanliness, limited facilities (includes a personal library), hygiene and most importantly the way the entire staff made our stay comfortable. Ken this one is for you and more business to follow. Cheers!!!
the front desk worker is really friendlly and helpful
the bathroom need Ceramics the paint is not cool
Friendly staffs, cute lil place, bathroom is attached to the room so yeah...convenient for backpackers or someone who got kicked out from the house like me, far enough not to hear the bustling Penang traffic, 10-15 minute walk to KOMTAR and clean!! Recommended for solo travelers but not families. Couples..not sure...maybe not.
price kinda high if compared to other hostels with nicer facilities and rooms, no breakfast, 2 or 3 stray dogs on the street but they're cool, walls are too thin so you can hear people talking, snoring, showering etc, a thin pillow but that's ok because you can fold it in half, it has a weird bearable smell but that will go away when you turn on the air conditioner, next to a cheap pub and a karaoke place so it's kinda noisy at night but you can still sleep.
The staff are super friendly and helpful!!! They made our stay very enjoyable! They are at the counter 24hrs so you can always approach them for advice and help. Also, they provide hot and cold water for free, which is very good for backpackers.
Generally everything is good, except that the location is a bit too far, and the street is dark at night, so it's not so easy for girls to walk alone at night.
I stayed in a single en suite which had air con and a T.V.. The hotel is very clean and close to the main part of old town. Would definately stay again and recommend to others.
The location was pretty good. About 5/10 minutes from chulia street, but also about a 25 minute walk to Gurney Drive (the main hawker centre) close to the coast. The rooms and toilet were quite clean and the hot water shower was sturdy and efficient.
the hotel is very clean n comfortable, this is the best i like.just wish to improve the bed coz for me is a bit thin.tq.
Close to city, friendly staff, good value, clean, a little bit too far from the bus stops.
Room small, just bed and enough room to walk to bathroom, too far from airport, difficult to get to the airport if your flight is very early in the morning.
Paying the lower cost but getting good room, suitable for the medium income group.
It's quite problem when geting noisy neighbour....do not have sound prove
The inn staff was very friendly & helpful. They can guide any budget traveller/backpacker on how to get around Georgetown, Penang. Don't worry about breakfast, there's a coffee shop just next to it & several more 5-10 minutes walk away.
None at all. Except that there will be a new karaoke lounge/pub just 2 blocks away, so be prepared for some noise during nighttime.
the hotel staff were very friendly. there was coffee making facilities downstairs. they let me take a shower after id checked out but spent the day on beach at batu ferrenghi which was very nice of them . wish i hadnt bothered with hotel continental.
the room was quite small and the light very bright with no bedside light. a little far from jalan penang but manageable.
It is a budget hotel to short stay for a family. Far away from town. Nearby got food court and the foods are very nice. Staff of the food court also very nice to introduce the famours food in Penang.
Overall the hotel is good, the staff is kind and polite. Eventhough we late to check out (2 hours), no extra charge.
staff were happy to help u and give us extra things like towels and pillows. the free water was good too. it was very clean. pretty good location.
it was noisy, found it hard to sleep well there. tv was only in asian languages. would have liked the staff to be able to provide more info on penang and suggest good food/restaurants things to do etc that are more authentic rather than what tourist sites say. but this is only being picky. we really enjoyed our stay with you :)
The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything, yet quiet and off the main tourist streets. Yes, the bathrooms are not glamorous but everything is very clean and comfortable. Great value for the price.
we had a roof over our heads
bathroom had a cement floor like in prison
